Providence Health & Services Team Assistant - Home Health & Hospice in Medford, Oregon
Providence is calling a Team Assistant - Hospice (1.0 FTE, Days) at Providence Medford Medical Center in Medford, OR.
We are seeking a Team Assistant - Hospice that will support Providence Medford Home Health & Hospice Triage, Intake, Utilization Review and scheduling. These can include but are not limited to: performing specified demographic & payer source data entry of referral/intake information into Home Care's software system(s); calling physician offices, hospital or other referral source to obtain additional patient demographic & payer source information in order to verify insurance eligibility and benefits for referral as requested; communicating new referral information to physician, Home Health and Hospice vendors or other entities via fax/phone/computer as requested; preparing IDT & PCC agendas; staff/patient scheduling; reporting statistical data; other office support functions as requested
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Timely and accurate data entry of specified demographic & payer source information of new referrals into computer system
Make phone calls to physician office, hospital, referral source and/or patient to obtain additional patient demographic & payer source information
Prepare IDT and PCC agendas; staff/ patient scheduling, reporting statistical data, and other office support functions as requested
Prepare and distribute Hospice IDT/IDG weekly team case conference schedules
Provide staff/patient scheduling relief coverage as directed
Provide Phone relief coverage as directed
Other office support functions as requested such as but not limited to, typing requests, participation on problem solving committees, special projects and/or reporting
Required qualifications for this position includes:
High School Diploma -OR- GED
Recent experience with Excel and Word
One (1) year recent experience in a customer service role participating with in a team in a medical office setting
Preferred qualifications for this position includes:
Coursework/Training: Business school level training -OR- equivalent education/experience
One (1) year experience with insurance verification, medical claims processing -OR- insurance member enrollments -OR- medical office setting
Experience in a Home Services agency
- One (1) year recent experience with multiple computerized applications
