Providence Health & Services Senior Operations Manager - Specialty Care in Medford, Oregon
Providence is calling a Senior Operations Manager for Specialty Care to its Medical Group in Medford, OR. This is a full-time, exempt positon.
We are seeking for a Senior Operations Manager for our Specialty Care team that will provide on-going leadership and management to a group of clinics that are aligned within a specific program or programs to ensure geographically dispersed specialty clinics and ancillary services are aligned within Providence Medical Group (PMG). You will be responsible for the development and implementation of management and patient care systems to assure the cost-effective and quality operations. You will work closely with program, hospital and Providence Medical Group leadership to ensure that the integrity of program services across each respective region remains sensitive to patients physical, psychological, and spiritual needs. You will work with senior leaders on strategic, administrative and operational matters. You will lead or participate in PMG-wide special projects, committees or task forces as requested.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Provide direction and leadership to PMG clinics in designated region. Assures compliance with the laws, rules and standards of regulatory bodies and accreditation agencies.
Support Director working with internal and external stakeholders to develop business plans for identified specialty projects and oversees project implementation and process of evaluation.
Provide relevant operational feedback to and from providers, managers, hospital and program administrators and staff involved in PMG operations and programs so as to recommend and influence strategic and tactical program modifications and changes in direction.
Hire, train, guide, evaluate and provide leadership for managers to support the day-to-day operations of clinics and programs, including supplies, staffing, facilities, budgeting, information systems, and scheduling.
Develop goals and annual operating budgets for assigned clinics and programs, and assures that the individual clinics and programs are operated within budget guidelines and are meeting stated objectives.
Develop and administers mechanisms to assess patient and provider satisfaction, and develop corrective actions as necessary.
Develop processes for effectively starting new clinics and programs, including forming effective teams, providing strong communication processes around project implementation, maintaining project deadlines and developing effective work flow processes for each new location.
Periodically examine the operations of the clinics and services to assure and improve cost-effective operations at all levels.
Advise and partner with Director, hospital, program and medical directors, CMO and clinic physicians on matters relating to clinical and professional issues within the clinics and service programs.
Periodically assess manpower needs of the clinic operations and assure the appropriate recruitment of skilled personnel.
Instill a quality improvement attitude and work ethic within the clinics and service programs (i.e. create a proactive corporate culture based on teamwork and mutual respect).
Ensure that all department staff are focused on building strong relationships with all stakeholders and customers.
Create a 'customer focused' environment/image.
Recommend marketing materials and activities, and coordinates with PMG marketing.
Participate and/or regularly attends manager meetings, and other PMG and Health System management forums, as necessary.
Participate in applicable accreditation compliance.
Promote an environment that inspires pride and commitment by employees and providers; to ensure satisfaction for patients and their families.
Required qualification for this position includes:
5 years Leadership experience in medical group management, or healthcare, or finance at a senior level. Must include experience in a complex healthcare delivery environment, including clinic operations in either family practice or specialty clinics, financial management, quality management, and risk management in a large medical group.
Valid driver's license
Driving record consistent with GOP Safe Driving Policy 330 Incident Point Matrix required at time of hire.
Preferred qualification for this position includes:
Bachelor's degree preferably in Business or related Healthcare or equivalent education/experience
Master's Degree in Healthcare Administration or Business Administration.
Experience in an integrated delivery system as well as new practice and facilities development.
