Providence Health & Services RN Quality Management Coordinator in Medford, Oregon
Providence is calling an RN Quality Management Coordinator (1.0 FTE, Day Shift) to Providence Medford Medical Center in Medford , OR.
We are seeking an RN Quality Management Coordinator who will provide assessment, evaluation and support for all quality initiatives within PHS Oregon. Occasional travel throughout the Oregon region may be required.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Provide concurrent and retrospective support managing initiatives to comply and in accordance with Centers for Medicare and Medicaid requirements, The Joint Commission (TJC) requirements, administrative and program personnel, and third party payors.
Actively work with leadership, Directors and Managers in the development and implementation of quality efforts, including preparation, risk monitoring and reduction in clinical and non-clinical systems, and coordination of multidisciplinary quality improvement projects.
Act as a facilitator and mentor for Department teams related to performance improvement.
Authorize and make decisions on recommendations and innovative solutions.
Serve as a resource and consultant for Quality Improvement activities and Professional Staff quality and peer review activities.
Assist in development and performance of educational activities as related to Quality Improvement, Accreditation requirements, and Resource Utilization.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's degree in Nursing
Five (5) years clinical experience
Five (5) years hospital experience in a progressively responsible position(s) requiring contact with various departments
Demonstrated clinical experience related to a wide variety of patient populations and care delivery models
Demonstrated leadership experience
Demonstrated experience in communicating effectively, both verbally and in writing, with physicians, nursing, public, and all levels of hospital management
Demonstrated evidence of self-motivation
High level of communication skills in order to clearly and concisely with all levels of Nursing, Administration, and Professional staff
Current unencumbered RN licensure in the state of Oregon
Preferred qualification for this position include:
Master's degree in Nursing, Public Health, Business, Healthcare or Business Administration
Adult medical surgical experience
Positive attitude and adaptability to handle rapid change
