Providence Health & Services Painter in Medford, Oregon
Providence is calling a Painter to join its Facilities Services team at Providence Medford Medical Center in Medford, OR. This is a full-time, day shift position. The work schedule is Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm.
In this role, you will have the ability to paint and refinish all types of surfaces found within the facility, including but not limited to sheetrock, plaster, metal and wood. Has the ability to install IPC style wall boards, doorframe covers and related products. Installs both rubber and vinyl cove bases, hangs shelving, pictures, bulletin boards, etc. as a part of daily work duties. Must be able to patch and repair various types of wall surfaces found within the facility. Supervise the work of outside painter.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Actively support and incorporate mission into daily activities as outlined in the Department Mission Practicum
Demonstrate positive interactions with patients, visitors and positive interpersonal relations in dealing with fellow employees and supervisors
Report to work as scheduled and on time per hospital policy
Maintain confidentiality of all information related to patients, medical staff and as appropriate, other information
Support and contributes to effective safety and risk management efforts by adhering to established policies and procedures, maintaining a safe environment, promoting accident prevention and identifying and reporting potential liabilities
Maintain coated surfaces of hollow metal or wood doors and frames, wood, sheet rock, plaster and concrete walls
Coordinate and supervises the work of painting contractors when required
Apply paint, varnish, stains, enamels or lacquer and wall coverings to decorate and protect interior and exterior surfaces, trimmings and fixtures, using paintbrushes, rollers, spray gun, sanding machine and other tools of the trade
Required qualifications for this position includes:
H.S. Diploma or GED
Four (4) years Journeyman painter experience
Experienced in supervising painting projects
