Providence is calling a Housekeeping Attendant - Environmental Services to Providence Medford Medical Center in Medford, OR. Schedules range from full-time and part-time hours (24-40 hours per week). These positions start at $16.07 per hour and include a full benefits package.

We are seeking a Housekeeping Attendant - Environmental Services that will perform environmental services tasks in assigned areas of the Medical Center to provide a sanitary, orderly and attractive environment. Successful performance contributes to a holistic approach to delivery of services, improved patient care, and a high level of satisfaction from patients, families, staff and physicians.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Thoroughly clean and disinfect high touch surfaces daily to prevent spread of infection
Clean floors by shampooing, vacuuming carpets and mopping tile and vinyl surfaces
Shampoo the furnitures
Dispose all of the waste in accordance with department, hospital, industry and regulatory standards
Perform cleaning functions and follows established procedure to meet Infection Prevention, Quality Control and Safety standards
Collect soiled linen and removes to designated location
Replenish hand hygiene products, paper products, sharps and pharmaceutical waste containers and other dispensable items as needed
Move furniture and equipment as needed for cleaning or site relocation
Clean patient rooms in accordance with dept. and regulatory standards
Maintain cleanliness of department equipment and reported needed repairs to EVS Supervisor
Ensure patient identifiers remain out of the regular waste stream
Meet bed turn around standards to assist with patient placement and throughput
Qualifications:
Required qualifications for this position includes:
Able to learn computer skills
Able to follow oral and written instructions
On the job training is provided
Able to work in a fast paced environment, constant interruptions, high volume urgency, and interactions with a wide variety of professionals and personalities
Able to work independently and assume responsibility for job completion in a timely manner
Recognize situations beyond knowledge and training and calls for assistance when needed
Able to operate cleaning equipment and use disinfectants according to department procedures
Able to pay attention to detail and respond quickly to supervisor instructions
Able to use phone, pager and computer systems
Able to meet the mental and physical demands of this position
