Providence is calling an Emergency Technician (0.9 FTE, Evenings) to Providence Medford Medical Center in Medford, OR.
Level III Trauma Center
22 Bed Unit - All Beds have their own rooms
Primary Stroke Center
Certified Cardiac Center - 24/7 STEMI Facility

In this position, you will:
Work closely with all members of the emergency team to provide direct patient care to optimize positive patient care outcomes.
Assist the physician/nurse practitioner during procedures by providing the appropriate sutures, supplies, instruments, and equipment.
Maintain proper sterile technique during procedures.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Current or previous Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Paramedic, completion of Medical Assistant (MA) program or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certificate, -or-
Equivalent skills acquired through military or surgical technician experience, -or-
Completion of Emergency Department (ED) tech residency program through Providence Oregon Emergency Services. (Not required to maintain certification after hire.)
American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA-BLS) certification
Prevention and Management of Assaultive Behavior (PMAB) annually
1 year of relevant experience
Military experience as medical personnel or senior clinical nursing student considered
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
