Providence Health & Services Cook / Food Prep Assistant in Medford, Oregon
Providence is calling a C ook/Prep Assistant to Providence Medford Medical Center in Medford, OR. This is a 32 hour per week position (8 hour shifts, 4 days per week). The schedule is Sunday thru Thursday from 6pm - 2:30am.
We are seeking for a Assistant cook, Prep who will Assist cooks in meal production, follows daily production schedule, and preps specific food items. Assists with cafeteria meals. Delivers patient tray on occasion and performs sanitation duties as indicated. Prepares food service for the night shift in cafeteria.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Provide excellent customer service through use of 5/10 rule, key words, and positive interaction with patients, visitors, medical staff and hospital staff to meet departmental goals.
Perform job duties as per specific job duties posted in job task manual.
Meet Quality standards as set by department.
Deliver trays to patient in an appropriate and timely manner.
Record I & O for patient on nursing tracking sheet.
Required qualification for this position includes:
Food Handler's Certificate within 2 weeks of date-of-hire.
Ability to lift 50 lbs. of supplies and equipment.
Have the abilities to meet the physical and mental demands of this position.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Preferred qualification for this position includes:
High School diploma or equivalent
Food Service experience.
