Providence Health & Services Clinical Certified Chaplain in Medford, Oregon
Providence is calling a Clinical Certified Chaplain (0.6 FTE, Days) to Providence Home Health Services in Medford, OR. This is an in-field position. Work schedule will be Monday, Friday, and one additional week day. This position is eligible for benefits on your hire date!
In this position you will:
Provide Pastoral Care to Hospice patients, families and hospice staff under the supervision of the Hospice Clinical Supervisor and in conjunction with the Director of Pastoral Care.
Perform all duties in a manner that demonstrates our Core values: Respect, Compassion, Justice, Excellence and Stewardship.
Required Qualifications for this position include:
Masters Degree in Theology or related field -or-
Other evidence of understanding and application of current theology
Successful completion of four units (minimum) of Clinical Pastoral Education from an APCE-accredited center, with certification by either the NACC (National Association of Catholic Chaplains), APC (Association of Professional Chaplains), NAJC (National Association of Jewish Chaplains), or CASC (Canadian Association for Spiritual Care) -or- certification obtainable within two years of hire
Certification will be maintained as active as verified and tracked by the department Director
Current endorsement of sponsoring religious group.
Valid license to drive.
Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
Pastoral Care chaplaincy in a healthcare setting
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Pastoral Care chaplaincy in a healthcare setting with bereavement and/or hospice experience
